Financial Arrangements
Nobody likes to be surprised when it comes to costs. Our policy is to inform you what your responsibility will be prior to any treatment, and discuss financial arrangements with you before we begin. After your initial examination, we will review with you our recommended treatment plan and its projected cost. We ask only that you begin treatment within ninety days from the date of the treatment plan presentation and complete treatment within one year, so we may honor the quoted fee.
To facilitate getting a healthy mouth and beautiful new smile as easy as possible, we offer several convenient payment methods. Our treatment coordinators are available to discuss financial arrangements and help you select the method of payment that best meets your needs. To provide the highest quality care on a sound basis, we have developed a full range of convenient payment options from which to choose.
Payment Options
Payment in Full
If you pay in full at the start of treatment, we will extend a bookkeeping discount. We will extend a 5% discount if payment is by check or cash. A 3% discount will be extended if payment is by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).
Monthly Payments
We offer the option of making monthly payments over the estimated treatment period (i.e. three monthly payment, if treatment is expected to take three months). If you choose this option, you will be required to pay 50% of the treatment fee at the start of treatment. The remaining balance can be paid with equal monthly payments at 0% interest as long as it is paid on time.
Payment Plans
A popular option for many of our patients, is a health care financing company called care credit. It works similar to a credit card. They will provide short and long term financing that offers:
• No interest payment plans when paid within promotional periods
• Extended payment plans
• No pre-payment penalty
• No application fees or forms
• No down payment
• In office application with a 3- minute approval time
Dental Insurance
Approximately one-half of our patients have dental insurance and many of their policies differ in their benefits. If you have dental insurance, you can still choose to pay in full in order to take advantage of the payment in full discount. We will still file the necessary insurance forms and your insurance company will reimburse you directly.
If you choose to use your insurance benefits to pay us directly, then we have adopted the following procedure to simplify the process. We will use our experience to estimate what your insurance will pay. The remaining balance, which is your estimated patient portion, will need to be paid at the start of treatment. Following insurance payment, if there is still a balance owed you will still be responsible for it. Of course, if you have a credit we will issue a refund check.
