Plaque Control

Good daily home care is one of the foundations for a healthy mouth. This is especially important for patients with gum disease.

Prior to scaling and root planing visits, one of our highly trained dental assistants, will evaluate your oral hygiene by "disclosing" yor plaque. Specific oral hygiene instructions will then be given with a special emphasis on areas that are being missed. If there is a need for special oral hygiene aids, other than a toothbrush and floss, you will be given that instrument with instructions on how to use it properly. Our goal is to provide you with a home care routine, designed specifically for your needs.
